Orders for goods and services are accepted only in accordance with the terms outlined in the general conditions of sale unless prior agreement in writing has been received. Payment Credit is allowed by prior arrangement and upon production of approved and acceptable trade and bankers references. Payment of credit accounts is to be made within 30 days unless otherwise agreed. Late payment may result in automatic withdrawal of credit facilities.
Passing of Risk & Property
Risk, loss or damage to the goods supplied shall pass to the customer at the point of delivery. However, the goods remain the property of Potteries Kilns until paid for in full.
Prices
All prices detailed are intended for guidance only and unless otherwise agreed in writing, all orders will be invoiced at prices ruling at date of despatch. Official quotations can be requested and are usually valid for 28 days unless otherwise stated. Any errors or omissions in any quotation, price list, invoice or other document are subject to correction without any liability on the part of Potteries Kilns. Unless otherwise stated, all prices exclude delivery.
Carriage
Where carriage charges have been quoted, or the price of the goods agreed includes delivery, then the goods will be delivered at the quoted cost at the risk of Potteries Kilns to the customer’s premises. Unpacking goods and moving them into position however is the customer’s responsibility unless arrangements have been made. Although every effort will be made to reach stated delivery times, Potteries Kilns are not liable for any unexpected delay, however caused.
Descriptions and
Specifications
Any and all descriptions or specifications given either verbally or in writing are for the purpose of general guidance and Potteries Kilns do not guarantee any implication by such information or does it form any part of any contract. Technical data and information regarding the properties or performance of parts and equipment is given in good faith but no warranties or guarantee are to be implied unless given in writing. Potteries Kilns reserve the right to discontinue any product, make design changes. modifications for product improvement and availability without prior notice. Goods are supplied on the understanding that the customer has taken all reasonable measures to confirm their suitability.
Loss or Transit Damage
Goods supplied on pre-paid delivery terms will be replaced if lost or damaged in transit provided that any non-delivery or damage is advised within 10 days from despatch date. In the case of damage, the delivery agents receipt should be marked appropriately. Where possible, deliveries should be inspected in the presence of the delivery driver and any loss or damage reported immediately. If this is not possible, delivery note should be marked "Goods Unexamined". Please sign any paperwork clearly.
Returned Goods / Hanlding Charge
Before returning any items, permission must be given in writing by Potteries Kilns. Any charges to be levied regarding administration and return delivery charges will be given at this time.
Liability
Potteries Kilns accept no liability in respect of any defect arising from standard wear and tear, purposeful damage, negligence, abnormal working or storage conditions, misuse, failure to follow instructions, alteration or repair of the goods (without approval).
Trading Overseas
These standard terms and conditions of sale equally apply to goods manufactured and supplied for delivery outside of the UK unless altered by prior arrangement. Delivery charges will be quoted at the time of receiving specific enquiries.
